Bags4kids began in June 2002 with one foster mom deciding she should make a difference in the lives of children all over. Having been a foster parent for 20 years and having adopted five children, LaJuana sees kids come and go with trash bags in hand, or with nothing at all. She gathered together 11 bags that she had at home. She filled them with items she thought might help comfort a child, keep them busy and show them that someone cared. However the most important items she places in the bags are "life books" and photo albums. |

For over 2000 children in the Antelope Valley, The Boys & Girls Clubs of the
Antelope Valley have been havens of encouragement; places where kids can find
support and resources to discover and achieve their full potential. If the Boys & Girls
Clubs of Antelope Valley did nothing more than provide a safe place where kids
could hang out, that would be worthy of community support.
But our Club sites do so much more... |

Around 1969, Dr. Meinhard Robinow identified a new medical syndrome, which he had not seen before. He named it "Fetal Face" Syndrome, based upon his views of patients born with the facial features of an 8-month old fetus. Some time later the name was changed to what we now know as "Robinow" Syndrome.
Before his death in July of 1997, he had observed, followed and studied a few families.
In 1995 the Robinow Syndrome Foundation was established, to continue locating and documenting new families addressing their individual characteristics, and to provide informational and emotional support.
